Bourbon Street Hotels

A room in a bourbon street hotel is luxury amid the thrills

Bourbon Street

For a unique experience, make a Bourbon Street hotel your address in New Orleans. At No. 4 on USA Today’s list of “Favorite Iconic American Streets” is Bourbon Street, home to historic venues, iconic bars and restaurants, legendary tales, and if you're lucky, you.

The street dates back to 1721 and has been the start of many people's One Time in New Orleans Story. Think  Galatoire’s Restaurant, Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop, Marie Laveau’s House of Voodoo, The Jazz Playhouse, Fritzel’s European Jazz Club, Pat O'Brien's and the Cat’s Meow. In 2018, the street went under a major renovation to keep the buzzing corridor thriving for years to come.

Where to stay on Bourbon Street

The street stretches 13 blocks from Canal Street to Esplanade Avenue. Hotels are scattered throughout, and make the perfect place to call home after a long night. Choose from lavish rooms with wrought-iron balconies overlooking the rowdiest rue in the French Quarter or quieter, inside rooms with peaceful French Quarter courtyard views.

Some hotels have pools, while others have award-winning restaurants (or are just steps from them). Listen to jazz music in the lobby or grab a to-go drink next door.

When to book a hotel on Bourbon Street

If you’re coming during festival season or Mardi Gras, plan to book early. While it may take a while to finish a Hurricane from Pat O’Brien’s or a Hand Grenade from Tropical Isle, rooms on Bourbon Street book up fast.

Staying on the street is great for those that want to be close to the action, or celebrate something exciting. Bachelorette and Bachelor parties often desire to stay on Bourbon. Or, if you're just interested in exploring the French Quarter, you'll be right in the heart of it.
