Green Hotels in New Orleans

Looking for a green or eco-friendly hotel in New Orleans? The following properties have a number of environmentally friendly practices in place to conserve water, electricity and reduce their overall carbon footprint (and yours, during your stay with them). While there are currently no Green Seal-certified hotels in Louisiana, these properties are making strides toward sustainability and offer the environmentally-conscious traveler to New Orleans some options.

Description: The hotel was awarded a 3 key rating (out of 5) from the Green Key Eco-Rating Program, a voluntary, self-administered program designed to assist a hotel in determining its current environmental footprint. Ratings may be confirmed with on-site assessments, but the Green Key website doesn’t say how often this occurs. As it’s a self-assessment program, it’s not necessarily a strong indication of the Inn’s actual green performance, and the hotel’s site doesn’t state how it achieved this rating.
