Originally from the South of France, in the town of Argeles Sur Mer, Chef Philippe Pinon has worked in such exotic locales as St. Tropez, Geneva, New York City and Palm Beach, Florida, before moving to New Orleans in the fall of 2001.

Since then, he has served as executive sous chef of the Windsor Court Hotel and executive chef of Le Méridien before becoming executive chef of the Royal Sonesta Hotel.

His favorite foods to prepare include seafood, gulf fish and Provençal dishes. His menus at the hotel are a mix of Continental Provençal, highlighting local ingredients.

He has often demonstrated his cooking talents by appearing as a guest on a variety of TV programs, most recently in “Bringing it Home with Laura McIntosh” on the Food Network.
