New Orleans Sushi

New Orleans Sushi

If you are craving sushi, New Orleans can satisfy. This popular Japanese food, characterized by small, tight rolls of raw seafood and rice, has seamlessly embedded itself in the city’s local food culture. Japanese restaurants and sushi bars dot every New Orleans neighborhood, providing easy access to tourists and locals alike.

Like all other cuisines that take root and thrive in the Crescent City, Japanese restaurants serve sushi rolls with a distinct New Orleans twist. From a Big Easy Roll to a Jazz Roll, local restaurants provide a variety of mouthwatering local twists on traditional Japanese fare. These seafood delights include delicious combinations like snow crab, cucumber, chili, and local crawfish or spicy tuna, tempura flakes, and a light sprinkling of masago. Each local restaurant has its own delicious twists. Track down a delicious Saints Black and Gold Roll as a tasty way to show team spirit and support the New Orleans Saints, or taste other local favorites such as the St. Charles Roll, the Voodoo Queen Roll, or the Bye-Bye Katrina Roll.

Every sushi restaurant will offer their own specialty menu of sushi rolls, so feel free to explore them all! When it comes to Japanese cuisine and sushi, New Orleans knows no limits. Browse the list below to learn more.
