Jazz in the Park

Handicap Accessible
ABOUT:

There is always music in the air in New Orleans, and Louis Armstrong Park is a wonderful place to enjoy it. Jazz in the Park is a series of free, outdoor musical performances with a different local band every week.

The concerts are every Thursday evening just outside of the French Quarter in the famous Louis Armstrong Park during the spring and the fall. It’s the perfect place to go if you want to enjoy outdoor live music and dancing, just steps from the French Quarter. In the past, local and national favorites Jon Cleary, Charmaine Neville, Treme Brass Band, Little Freddie King and many more have performed.

In addition to the music, you can browse and shop the beautiful artwork on display by artists from around the city, including handmade jewelry and crafts. Show up hungry because food and drink vendors sell a variety of local dishes to keep you sated. There's seafood, Cajun and Creole dishes, as well as desserts to savor.

The event is located at Louis Armstrong Park on Rampart Street. Street parking is also available with meter service until 7 p.m., and then free parking is permitted. Go to www.pufap.org for more information.
