New Orleans Bike Tours

For anyone who enjoys the outdoors, there's nothing better than including some recreational biking in your vacation itinerary. If you want your next trip to NOLA to feature a bike tour, New Orleans offers a variety of bike routes that allow you to see the city in a new way. Whether you want to bike through interesting neighborhoods or lush parks, cyclists can find just what they're looking for in New Orleans.

Chock-full of striking historical landmarks like Creole cottages, restored mansions, and one-way streets that are perfect for biking, neighborhoods like the French Quarter, the Bywater and Marigny are a cyclist's dream. If you prefer a bike route that takes you through natural scenery, Audubon Park offers a paved biking path with plenty of local birds, including ducks, blue herons, and great egrets, to keep the ride interesting. City Park is another ideal spot for recreational biking in the city. Cycle its four-mile bike path and then stop at the New Orleans Botanical Garden and New Orleans Museum of Art for more sightseeing. In the spring, a bike ride through the Garden District is also an ideal way to take in the area's lush, vibrant gardens.

You don't have to worry about bringing your own bike to the NOLA either. The city has plenty of bike rental companies where you can rent a bike by the hour or arrange for a guided bike tour. There are also plenty of social biking events in the Big Easy, so you can meet up with fellow cycling enthusiasts and get bike route suggestions from locals in the know. From top to bottom, New Orleans has everything that cyclists need for a memorable trip so check out our listings to help create the ideal biking itinerary for your next visit.
