Harrah's Happenin's in January
January 2013

As the holiday season winds down and New Orleans preps for its next big events – Mardi Gras and the Super Bowl – Harrah's New Orleans Casino Theater takes a brief hiatus from live performances. But the action still goes on in January at the South's largest casino. Patrons are invited to sample a wide variety of delectable culinary delights from the newly renovated buffet, just steps away from the theater and the lively gaming floor.

Two holiday holdovers, "Miracle on Fulton Street" and First Fridays on Fulton Street enter their final few days in early January, making this the last time you can enjoy these fun events until this time next year. Don't miss out!

And, as always at Harrah's, the fabulous gaming options never stop 24/7, with multiple opportunities to walk out a winner. Located within walking distance of the French Quarter in the heart of downtown, you'll find over 2,100 of the newest, hottest slots, plus plenty of action-packed table games. From roulette to craps and baccarat to blackjack and poker, you'll find plenty of action at Harrah's New Orleans. Over 115,000 square feet of gaming under one roof, with two parking garages capable of accommodating hundreds of vehicles at a time. Harrah's New Orleans offers 10 varieties of table games and more than 100 tables, 20 of which are poker tables. Slot denominations range from a penny per pull to $500!

Miracle on Fulton Street
Through January 2, 2013

Miracle on Fulton Street
Miracle on Fulton Street

After a one-year absence, due to construction at Manning's Restaurant, Harrah's holiday spectacular, "Miracle on Fulton Street" returns, bringing back with it a true New Orleans seasonal tradition. Begun in 2007 to help rekindle the holiday spirit after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, "Miracle" is a panoply of lighting effects and Christmas decorations that will stimulate the senses and instill within you the magical joy that comes with "the most wonderful time of the year."

Offering something for all ages, Miracle on Fulton Street is free and open to the public. Visitors and locals alike will marvel at the tunnel-like effect created by tens of thousands of tiny LED lights. Every hour on the hour, between 5:00 and 11:00 p.m., simulated "snow" will fall from the tunnel's canopy. Kids, especially those who've never seen real snow before, will love it!

The lighting display will be up through Tuesday, January 2. Ample parking is available in the adjacent Harrah's garages with their entrances facing Convention Center Boulevard.
