Windsor Court Readies for a Jolly Holiday Season Specialty room rates, festive feasts, caroling choirs and afternoon teas round out the celebrations NEW ORLEANS – October 24, 2017 – Windsor Court is home to a variety of New Orleans’ favorite holiday happenings, from a traditional Turkey Day dinner to ringing in the New Year in style. The lowest room rates of the season pair with Reveillon feasts, holiday teas, Christmas celebrations and warm winter cocktails to create the ultimate winter wonderland in the heart of the Crescent City. The holiday spirit comes alive in November as the hotel’s decor takes on the seasonal splendor, featuring a 19 1/2-foot Christmas tree boasting more than 25,000 mini white lights, a classic toy train around the base and over 1,500 feet of gold magnolia garland. Additional decorative elements include ten Colorado blue spruce trees, donning more than 3,000 ornaments, and four, six-foot gold magnolia wreaths in the main lobby windows. The grand stairwell is lined with 75 feet of gold magnolia garland, along with 500 sparkling mini lights. Wishes, Dreams, Memories Guests are invited to add to the grand holiday décor by writing their own wishes, dreams or memories on complimentary holiday ornaments and hanging them on a special tree in the lobby. Guests can then share their ornaments with the world by posting a photo to social media and tagging @WindsorCourt with the #WindsorWishes hashtag. The hotel will share and repost their favorites. Papa Noel Room Rates The holidays are the ideal time for visitors to save while enjoying the accommodations and amenities of Windsor Court. Guests who book their stay November 19, 2017 through January 6, 2018 using the Papa Noel offer will receive up to 20 percent off the best available rate. Holiday Tea in Le Salon From November 24 to January 3, this centerpiece of the New Orleans holiday season has been a community tradition for over 30 years. On the busiest days of the season, Le Salon serves 325 to 400 guests. · $69.03 for adults and $35.84 for kids, inclusive of tax and gratuity · Service includes a properly brewed pot of tea; a glass of sherry, sparkling wine or specialty cocktail; an enchanting selection of English tea sandwiches; seasonal scones with clotted cream; and a final course of gourmet desserts. · Reservations are required and can be made by calling (504) 596-4773 or visiting Festive Feasts in The Grill Room The hotel’s culinary team has created prix fixe menus for Thanksgiving, Reveillon, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve. All menus are available online: Thanksgiving Day $100 per person, plus tax and gratuity Four courses Served November 23, 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and 5-10 p.m. Menu options include Duck Tortelloni, Vidalia Onion Bisque, Chateaubriand and Apple Galette Reveillon Dinner $55 per person, plus tax and gratuity Four courses Served throughout December, 5:30-10 p.m., excluding December 24, 25 and 31 A French and Creole tradition from the 1800s, Reveillon (meaning “awakening”) stems from the custom of having a large family dinner following Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve. Menu options include Mushroom Fricassee, Butternut Squash Soup, Beef Short Rib and Chocolate Crepe Christmas Eve and Christmas Day $110 per person, plus tax and gratuity Four courses Served December 24, 5:30-10 p.m., and December 25, 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and 5-9 p.m. Menu options include New Orleans BBQ Gulf Shrimp, White Bean Soup, Stuffed Roasted Quail and Bûche de Noël New Year’s Eve $95 per person, plus tax and gratuity Four courses Served December 31, 5-9 p.m. Menu options include Poached Lobster, Roasted Beets, Lamb Rack and Cranberry Bread Pudding After dinner, guests can stop by Polo Club Lounge to enjoy live jazz and a selection of celebratory champagne. Sounds of the Season In December, the variety of holiday happenings at the hotel will once again be complemented by performances from local school choirs. Throughout the month, students will gather in the Windsor Court lobby to provide seasonal entertainment in true New Orleans holiday spirit. The current schedule is below.
