Crescent City Cooks was founded in October 2009, in the New Orleans Riverwalk. In 2013, we moved to our current location on the corner of Chartres and Iberville, in the historic French Quarter. We have 5,000 square feet divided between a retail store and a spacious culinary classroom that can also be used as a multi-purpose event space.

Our store features a variety of kitchen gadgets, local art, hand-crafted kitchen and dining accessories, gift items, hot sauces, and spices. We have also expanded our seasonal décor selection to ensure every hostess can find whatever she needs to host a perfect holiday gathering.

Our classroom is an open, flexible space that allows us to teach classroom-style for our daily demonstrations, transform the room into several work stations for hands-on classes, or clear the space for special events. We accommodate large groups (up to 90) and private and corporate events. We can decorate the room by request and turn any gathering into something special.

Using fresh and local ingredients, we create dishes that any home chef can master. When you take a class, we invite you into our kitchen and share our recipes and experiences with you. We offer an interactive and engaging conversation about New Orleans food, traditions, and culture. We pride ourselves on offering personalized experiences for our students, and offer most of our dishes in vegetarian, gluten-free, nut-free, dairy-free, and even vegan varieties upon request.
